Experience. Leadership. Democrat

A political campaign is not about one person alone. It is about a community coming together around shared values and a belief that we can do the work needed to make lives better. That belief — rooted in Democratic values of fairness, opportunity, and responsibility to one another — has been a lifelong commitment for me, not something I came to later in life or in seeking public office. It has shaped my involvement in my community, my advocacy, and my work within the Democratic Party over many years.
My earliest elected service began as a Town Meeting Member in Amherst as a college student, and continues today serving on the Brewster School Committee. Those roles reflect my belief that public service should start at the local level and remain grounded in the needs of the community. At the same time, my commitment to Democratic principles has also been expressed through longstanding party involvement and advocacy, including serving on the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee for over 10 years and on the Advisory Board of Project Bread’s Make Hunger History campaign, as well as supporting numerous efforts around workforce housing and protecting the Cape’s fragile environment.

While Town Meeting and the School Committee are nonpartisan offices, the values that led me to serve in those roles have always been the same Democratic values that guide my broader civic and party engagement: strong public education, support for working families, housing that allows people to live and work on Cape Cod, and stewardship of our environment. My elected service, party involvement, and advocacy have never been separate chapters, but part of a single, consistent commitment to those principles over the course of my life.
On Cape Cod, we often talk about the character of our towns. To me, that character is the people of Brewster, Dennis, and Yarmouth — people who care deeply about their communities and want to do what is right for their neighbors. Even when we may disagree on the details, we share a commitment to community, fairness, and looking out for one another. Those are the values that have guided my work from Town Meeting to the School Committee and throughout my broader involvement in Democratic and community causes, and they are the values I will bring to Beacon Hill as your State Representative.
